Hi Guys! I’ve gotten a lot of new followers on this blog that are Sudanese and non-Sudanese. I just wanted to say thanks for everyone following and also to everyone who has messaged me with great comments and remarks about this tumblr. I appreciate those lovely messages and honestly I wouldn’t mind getting to know you guys more personally. So I’ve decided that i’m going to make this account more personal and share more insight to my sudanese side. If you’re interested to know more then continue reading…..
So this may or may not come as a shock to some of you (especially those that are Sudanese), but i’m actually only half Sudanese. My father is from North Sudan and my mom is American. My parents are divorced and my mom is not a convert to Islam. I lived in Sudan for almost 3 years while I was in High school, which was an amazing time in my life. I went through many trials and tribulations, but I also had wonderful experiences and adventures and made amazzzzzzing life-long friends. I’ve always admired and loved my Sudanese side. I think Sudan is such a beautiful country in so many aspects. The people are so kind and compassionate. The traditions are so interesting and humbling. The history is pretty remarkable. I could go on and on, but i’ll save that for other future posts. I think what I’m going to do is just share different stories of things i learned, and went through during my time in Sudan and just discuss different topics that regard Sudan occasionally on this blog, but I will also make sure to stick to the original virtue of the blog.
